Fragile items are always the biggest concern during any move. At Warezone Relocations, our professional packing team uses industry best practices to ensure your most delicate belongings arrive safely at your new home or office.
1. Use the Right Box Size
Smaller boxes are better for heavy fragile items like glassware. Overfilled boxes are more likely to drop or collapse.
2. Wrap Every Item Individually
Use bubble wrap, tissue paper, or packing paper for each item. This prevents items from knocking against each other during transport.
3. Fill the Void
Use foam peanuts, rolled paper, or air pillows to fill empty spaces in boxes. This minimises movement during the journey.
4. Label Every Box
Mark boxes "FRAGILE" and indicate which side is up. Our Warezone team uses a colour-coded labelling system for extra clarity.
5. Double-Box Extremely Fragile Items
For items like antiques or fine art, place the wrapped item in a smaller box, then place that box inside a larger one with padding around it.
6–10. More Expert Tips
- Dish plates: Pack vertically like records, never flat.
- Glasses: Stuff the inside with paper before wrapping.
- Electronics: Use original boxes whenever possible.
- Mirrors/frames: Wrap in moving blankets and secure with tape.
- Load last: Place fragile boxes on top and in the cab if possible.
